Collaborative Research Development
Dr. Robert W. Alexander is an internationally recognized aesthetic & reconstructive surgeon, author, teacher, pioneer in the use of stem/stromal cells in clinical practice for both aesthetic and muscular skeletal treatments, and a recognized leader in the field of biocellular regenerative medicine.
He was recently voted as one of the top ten innovators in stem cell innovation and the stem cell field by the International Membership Of The Academy Of Regenerative Practices at their recent conference and scientific sessions.
As a pioneer in medical research, Dr. Alexander’s contributions in the use of adipose-derived stem/stromal cells combined with high-density platelets are concentrated in the areas of aesthetic surgery, open flap surgery, chronic wound therapy, and orthopedic medicine/surgical fields and are considered novel and innovative.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude with full honors from the University of Florida (Gainesville) School of Medicine and the St. Louis University School of Medicine and Dentistry. His early experiences in basic applied research were supported by NIH pre- and post-doctoral research grants and have led to multiple advances in surgery and medicine.
Dr. Alexander was inducted into the International College of Surgeons. He has many published articles in peer-reviewed medical literature, contributed to multiple textbooks, and has been a featured speaker in national and international venues on the subjects of plastic surgery and regenerative medicine applications, particularly those in musculoskeletal and orthopedic applications (for the past decade) which are well recognized. He is the recipient of multiple awards and recognitions in the areas of his primary specialty, as well as in the evolving uses of stem/stromal cells.
Dr. Alexander has an academic affiliation with the University of WA (Seattle), practicing/teaching advances in biocellular regenerative in plastic surgery & orthopedic regenerative medicine.
