Dr. Edwin Roman is a physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physician. He earned his medical degree at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, where he was born. After medical school, Dr. Roman completed an Internal Medicine internship at the Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore. Following his internship, he did a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Pitt County Memorial Hospital, which is affiliated with the East Carolina University. He then moved to Williamsport, Pennsylvania where he worked at the Susquehanna Health Rehabilitation Center.
There, he spent 16 years treating patients with diverse rehabilitation needs, including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations and debility. In the spring of 2006, he was honored with the CARE Physician of the Quarter award. After parting ways amicably with Susquehanna Health, he worked in the Allentown/Bethlehem area filling in for other physicians. He is back in the Williamsport area where he lives with his wife and two daughters. He spends his time off work staying active at church, honing his computer skills and increasing his music collection.
